when i was younger, i was obsessed with batman. legit obsessed. the batman animated series was smack dab in the middle of my childhood — i’d watch it *every. single. day.* after school. and my obsession with batman all started with a little movie called batman returns. i’m really dating myself here, but i remember when that movie came out… and i remember being totally fascinated by it.

as i’ve grown older, i still love me some batman (for evidence, see see right here) and i’ve also come to love all things tim burton… and the two original batman movies *still* rank pretty damn high on my list of favorites. michael keaton will forever be batman to me. but my favorite character, hands down, in all of batman-verse…

…is catwoman.

michelle pfeiffer’s catwoman was *it* for me. she is catwoman… anne hathaway who? i mean, i know selena kyle was originally a brunette, but to me? she’ll always be a crazy feline-obsessed *blonde* bombshell who looks amazing in skin-tight leather. so of course, she was perfect for me to cosplay! ;D

my own version of catwoman all started after my trip to the cinema event… where i spied this mask ‘n’ hair combo by mina && immediately snagged it. i saw it, i had to have it, and i was instantly thinking of ways to dress myself up as selena kyle.

so i needed a catsuit. ..obviously. xD and while i own several in varying leather && latex textures, this one from slink was absolutely perfect. while it lacks the homemade stitching that michelle pfeiffer’s costume had in the movie, it more than makes up for it by being *so* fucking sexy. the super low neckline, zipper, and extra shiny latex made it fit what i needed.

but of course… what batman villain is complete without her accessories? i grabbed an outfit from graves (appropriately called the cat) that came with all the necessary bits && bobs — including a mounted whip on the hip, lots of attached pockets, gloves and the li’l kitty collar i’m wearing.

i had to add a teensy bit of *me* back into the costume, so a few piercings from hod (including the feather in my mouth — i thought it was appropriate for a cat, yes?), some claws from candy nail, and a pair of the *hottest* thigh-high boots i’ve seen in a while, by jaimie earst complete the look.

it’s not an exact cosplay, but it’s about as close as i can get! i’m sure no one will complain about my accuracy…

..right?
