i really love how the entire grid seems to change with rl seasons… i’m seeing less && less bright green grass and more gorgeous fall foliage. and while i was on the warrumbungles sim (shopping, of course x3), i realized just how pretty the scenery was outside the store i was in. so naturally, i couldn’t resist taking a stroll down the cobblestone street and snapping my blog pics for today there.

and this windlight setting i used made the pretty trees behind me seem to glow, which was a wonderful effect. i rarely post process my blog pics here, the only thing i tend to do is mess a bit with brighness/contrast and sometimes smooth out jaggies on the avatar mesh, so the backdrop you see here is all in-viewer goodness. i used a windlight by elysium eilde (with a few tweaks for more cloud coverage in the sky) and it was absolutely perfect for painting a pretty autumn picture.

now onto my look…

the skin i’m wearing today is from leafy.. and i’m honestly not sure why i’ve not given this brand a chance before. i *love* this face. these lips are perfection in shape and color && this skin tone i’m wearing here (called lumiel) worked so well with the freckle tattoos i wear all the time. it came with a pure, make-up free face which is ideal for layering your own favorite makeup tattoos on top, and a face with a simple black cat eye that i’m wearing. i honestly could not decide which skin to pick up first — i sat with about a billion demos in my inventory before i finally grabbed one — because there were lovely fantasy-type skins (paler and super dark tones with gorgeous makeups, then “out there” skin tones in shades of purple and green), halloween themed skins, and then more “normal” faces with in a range of everyday makeups. i settled on this sapphire skin for the moment, because i loved the way it looks on my shape, but as i said… no idea why i’ve not hoarded this skin brand before now.

the hair style i’m wearing here is *free* currently, in the exile subscribo, along with two more. i spotted them on kavar cleanslate‘s flickr before i got the notice && immediately went to snag ’em. and as i was unpacking, my jaw dropped. i was honestly expecting just three hair styles — the ones in the flickr pic in those specific hair colors — and was *floored* when i realized the gifts are actually fat packs. such a generous gift and so worth grabbing, especially if you’re like me and you picked up these hairstyles when they were @ tdr blue… but they didn’t come in your preferred hair color then. now, they most certainly do! :3

and lastly, this sweater i’m wearing here is out for a really nice discount @ my attic by dcny. this round of goodies is an awesome one — including *more* hair from exile && a super cute style by ploom, too — but these sweaters immediately caught my eye. for *95L* you get the sweater in your choice of colors and then two matching scarves that i’m not wearing here, one each to match the sweaters color-blocks. and amazing deal for really well-made mesh.. after you smack the exile subscribo, head to my attic for some more awesome bargains!
