because of my blog, i’ve always thought of myself as a… chameleon, of sorts. i’ve never had one set style here — i wear what i like, when i like it, how often i like it && it usually doesn’t matter too much to me about it being outside my own personal realm of style.. because i don’t honestly have one. i wear some girly, some goth, some grunge, some casual, some out there… and all of it is me. just different *shades* of vixxie, if that makes sense?

but there’s always certain areas of style that seem more of a challenge for me to pull off (or at the very least, for me to pull off in my own opinion!).. and those are the looks that i end up the most proud of. so when two of my friends, allarik && braden, hit up the menswear fashion week sims and came back with some new stuffs to show off… i decided i’d play along.

channeling our best yes, we *totally are* high fashion models, tyvm vibe!

honestly, the guys surprised me! i figured they’d go for the casual separates… jeans, hoodies, khaki shorts, maybe a few tees? and instead, when they were showing me what they bought, i was taken aback when i saw nicely tailored coats, platform boots, sheer fabrics && perfectly mussed hairstyles.

i’m impressed with their choices!

braden daines‘ look is all centered around the jacket he picked up @ mwfw from halicali. it’s tailored deliciously, with pockets and buttons and tall shoulder pads. it came with the thin scarf he’s wearing as well, and since he decided to wear it without a shirt underneath (not that i’m complaining….. *ahem*) it makes the jacket the main focus of his outfit. and his bare chest. ..but mostly the jacket!

and can i just say how proud of him i am for picking up these *amazing* platform boots from sys? braden is *tall*, or at least he’s tall in comparison to my short self, but these boots made him completely tower over us. i never would’ve imagined he’d grab these on his own, but they look awesome with his ensemble && totally work for the look he was going for~

allarik‘s pants are also from halicali (and are part of a full outfit that includes a long, belted jacket not worn here), but his top is from tableau vivant. i like the sheer fabric (bare chest again, almost!!) && i like the way he styled it — a tie from mandala, some saddle shoes from fir & mna, and one of the *new* hair styles from shag that’s out @ mwfw, too. those curls are pure sexiness, the kind that look soft enough to run your fingers through, and it’s *just* messy enough to look purposeful.. like he meant for his hair to fall around his face exactly the way it is.

and since the boys were all in black, i decided to go completely opposite and dress head-to-toe in nice, stark white. i needed an excuse to wear these maitreya leggings with the “couture” built-in shoes (which are so amazing, i love them for this reason! but as i blogged the other day, you can wear these leggings without the shoes too, to pair with your own favorite boots && heels) and these looks seemed an appropriate enough reason!

a latex corset from sakide && matching shiny gloves from sn@tch, a pair of *group gift* eyes from insufferable dastard as well as a *new* mesh hair in white from magika completed the light — while a bracelet/ring set from bellballs, a gorgeously detailed necklace from mandala, dark lips from glam affair && my favorite new piercings from hod finished some darker accents.

i like that i’m in white while they’re in black. i like that i look somehow.. sci fi inspired, while the guys just look *fashionable* (and hot. two hothot boys!). and i like that we all still look like *us* — there’s still tattoos and piercings there, and i’m still me underneath the white hair — and yet it all still… just… works. funny how that is, hm?
