lazy

so! i’ve showed off my new bedroom already && today, i’m posing in part of my living room…

bff vivi and i have been putting a few last finishing touches on our new home.. y’know, the little details that make things look more “lived in”. and since our living room is so huge (ie, there’s enough room for a full living room set while *still* leaving half the room undecorated), she and i decided to put down a cute dining room set… even though we don’t have a kitchen. ;P only in sl!

and so my look for today is very appropriate for lounging around my house, something comfy but still cute.. while i rez and re-rez candles and books and paintings and picture frames and flower pots.

this cute cream-colored mesh top i’m wearing is *new* from sakide. there’s lots of new releases at sakide, all of which are awesome separates. ponchos(!), jeans, stockings, boots.. but these v-neck tees were probably my favorites out of the bunch. they are great for layering, which is something i *love* to do in autumn, but still season-appropriate enough on their own to totally work for fall. and i liked this khaki color for how versatile it is to work with!

i know it’s kiiinda hard to see, but check out my necklace! it’s *adorable* && is out @ collabor88 from intrigue co. little potted cactus plants, each dotted with small flowers.. how cute is that!? the set comes with a matching ring (that i *am* wearing here, even if i’m a derp and didn’t photograph it properly :/) and earrings, where each choice has different colored flower accents. so fun && so *cute*, i love accessories like these!

today was kind of a lazy day, i mean.. i didn’t even bother putting on shoes! but i still like this look for how real it is. i wouldn’t be moving furniture around in my rl in a skirt, heels and flowy top.. so i don’t do it in my sl, either~

sometimes, a girl just needs a dress…

..or two.

i am *not* the girliest girl, not by a long shot, but i can appreciate a dress every now && then. my taste in dresses is usually less.. ruffly and “lady like” and, rather, more… well.. less is more. so i decided to put together two looks for today, built around two short mesh dresses i’ve picked up this last week in world.

the first is from paper doll, which is out for stumblebum this round. it’s skin tight, *just* short enough, and comes in some lovely color choices.. including this fading white-to-pink one i chose to wear here. li’l dresses like this are perrrr~fect for the upcoming warmer months && look just as nice with a pair of high heeled pumps as it would with, say… a pair of wedge sandals and some sunglasses. plus since it’s stumblebum, that means it’s *discounted* (25% off, to be exact!)… which always makes dress shopping that much more enjoyable~

and speaking of discounts… this month’s round of collabor88 rolled over a few days ago. collabor88 is one of my *favorite* sales events and this month’s collection really bowled me over. there were so many cute things there this go ’round, it was honestly a li’l overwhelming! but i *did* manage to snag a few things amidst my bewilderment, including this dress i’m wearing here, from boom. which, tbph, is actually labeled as a long, baggy t-shirt… but to me? it looks like an adorable cotton minidress.. and worked rather well that way (but remember to wear panties, i’m *just* sayin’! ;)).

the earrings i’m wearing in both looks are also out @ collabor88, from intrigue co. the dangly charms are shaped like unicorns… unicorns(!!).. and come in sets that were made to mix && match colors. i probably didn’t pick the perfect hairstyle to show these earrings off (but i could not resist wearing this insanely cute style from ploom that i grabbed at culture shock), so you’ll just have to take my word for it. oooorrrr go try the earrings yourself to see! really, really cute.. and i did mention they were unicorns, right? because they are! unicorns!

happy sashimi

is that sushi in your pocket or are you just happy sashimi?

i cannot even begin to describe how much amusement this t-shirt has given me. yes, it’s true, i *may* be easily amused.. but… come on! it made you giggle too, riiiiight? don’t lie!

it’s part of a pack of three out @ [a] limited — i grabbed the set of sushi t-shirts, but there’s toast and cupcakes and cookies and milk and… all sorts of other adorable designs should sushi not be your taste. you get all three of one set together, as well as a long tee (like i’m wearing here) and a cropped version too for the price. and since summer is honestly right around the corner… stocking up on t-shirts is never a bad idea. 😉

another round of collabor88 is up for the month and of course, bff vivi && i were excited to go see all the items offered. some of our favorite items include an umbrella shaped seat (that we used as a floatie in the water outside our house, *so* cute!) from lisp, the capris i’m wearing here from kyoot, and the eiffel tower-shaped earrings i have on by intrigue co. not everything was out, though, when we went… but at least that gives us another excuse to browse again~

and my hair — i am sure it has been *all over* the feeds as of yet, but if you haven’t heard… the hair i’m wearing here is a *freebie* from truth. yes, i said freebie! it’s in the subscribo notices if you didn’t get it the first time it was sent out… and you get the entire fat pack of colors, both with roots and without. the rubber bands are all color-change and this double-banded pigtail style is just… over-the-top cuteness. truth hair makes my insides happy every single time there’s a new release, but i gotta say.. i about *exploded* with glee when i realized the usual notice about new styles included a gift, too. it was a very happy surprise!

sort of a quickie post for today!

this round of stumblebum is still going on for a few more days && there’s *lots* of awesome goodies to snag on sale. everything is in shades of yellow, orange and red… like this tank top i’m wearing, from dcny, which is actually part of a pack of three for only 95L.

you can *never* have enough tank tops for spring && summer — they are great for something simple, like i’m wearing here with a *new* mesh denim mini from sakide, or for layering with other tanks or tees or jackets (or for wearing on top of bikinis!). and these tanks not only come in gorgeously bright, saturated colors.. but they’re also nicely textured with a li’l something different, like they’re made of a silkier, draped fabric rather than regular ole cotton~

plus, intrigue co has the most *adorable* set of mesh gloves out for stumblebum… in the shape of betta fish. how cute are these?!

lazy weekends

/me yawns && stretches…

mmmnhh.. such a lazy day today~

i didn’t do much of anything all day. slept late, watched TV (catching up on episodes from last season’s rupaul’s drag race… can i just say how *fucking obsessed* i am with this show!? omgaaaah!).. i barely left the comfort of my couch. and it was *nice*, i’ve not had the chance to vegetate this way in a looo~ooong time.

but i did put forth the effort to get dressed out of my PJs. ;p and i figured i should blog today, even if this post is on the cusp of today and tomorrow. i wanted to show off the lazy comfy look i put together for today, at least… but i didn’t feel much like posing and primping for it.

so instead, i moved my lounging from the couch to lounging outside.. from sofa to outdoor swing instead!

it’s baby steps, honey. baby steps.

and apparently, one of my meeroos felt like sneaking into the shot. i totes think she photo bombed me. but she’s cute, so i’ll allow it. everyone say hi to nymph~

it was nice out today, surprisingly. a li’l chilly (hence the hat from red mint && the super cute mesh toe socks from intrigue co, just to keep me warm!), but still sunny. it makes me hopeful that spring is finally on its way. i’ve been trying to think of ways to make our beachy bit o’ land more.. seasonal. add back some greenery, maybe a few extra palm trees, and really make it look.. lush. as it is, it’s pretty much sand, water && house (a very nicely decorated house, tho! eheh~), and i am ready for the extra warmth and sunshine to come back to my second life just like it is in my first. or at least, i’m really hoping it’s coming back to my first life.. i’ve been so itching for springtime weather that i’m practically going insane.

this outdoor swing was a good start to make things look more springy. it’s out for stumblebum @ cheeky pea and comes with a *ton* of nice, lounging poses… which were perfect for my lazy day today. it’s in a temporary spot outside, so i’ll have to think of a nicer place for it to go, but it caught just enough sunshine to appease me underneath our outdoor trellis.

maybe once i’m feeling less lazy, i’ll actually work on sprucing up the parcel with plant life. after all, nothing says *spring* quite like bright flowers and rich green grass. it was just so tough today to get the motivation to do anything… and i *still* have that season of drag race to finish (it’s season 3.. and i totes think raja is gonna win!). i swear, i’ve been watching so much of it lately between the older season and the new episodes too (sharon needles.. love her ❤❤❤) that i’m gonna start thinking i’m a drag queen myself..

if you can’t love yo’ self.. how in the hell you gon’ love somebody else!? can i get an amen up in here!

what makes you happy?

pink hair makes me happy. whale-shaped gloves *definitely* make me happy. mesh eyelashes… make me so happy i could squeal. birthdays make me happy……

oh, and speaking of birthdays 😉 (you like that awesome segue!? bahahah~).. my rl birthday is *tomorrow*, the 23rd! \o/ and i am so, so excited to celebrate.

sometimes, you just need a good excuse to be goofy and let off some steam. to be unabashedly happy && smile until your cheeks hurt. to laugh, to be loud, to have a fantastic time. and with the help of bff vivi and a few of my other rl friends (what? they exist!! ;P), i plan to do just that!

it seemed only fitting to pose for a few bloggity pics being just as happy, silly && smiley in my sl as i am in my rl. birthdays often make you feel *old*, and sad subsequently, but i am just as excited for mine now as i was when i was a little kid. and it’s simply because i’ll be celebrating with my amazing friends, some good food, and a drink (or twelve).

sunshine

if i can’t have the sunshine && warmth of spring in my rl..

..at least i can dress like i have it in sl.

a new stumblebum round started the other day, which means new items in some *gorgeously* bright && happy colors. and this top from paper.doll, in all its golden yellow glory, was absolutely perfect to perk up my i’m so sick of winter blues. yellow usually is not my first choice when it comes to colors, but this top just *spoke* to me. i love this shade, it’s like bright sunshine-in-a-fabric && i actually picked it out over the hot pink and black versions. who would’ve guessed that, hmm? ;P

i was actually feelin’ the whole colorful thing today too, so i paired the yellow top with a *gorgeously* colored mesh bag from aura out @ the back to black event, some super cute yellow anchor earrings by intrigue co which are out for collabor88, a pretty necklace from amorous and some super fun eyeliners from cstar. i’ve actually got *three* eyeliner tattoos on, because they were so nice for layering. each wing is a separate tattoo and the rainbow-y top liner is the third, which make such a unique shape.. and of course, add some extra color to my makeup, too~ the nice thing about these liners is that they *aren’t* limited like the skins usually are @ cstar, so you can go grab these at your leisure (though i *highly* recommend them, they are great for adding a bit of extra interest to the eye makeup on your favorite skins!).

i’ve done two rather dark looks the past couple of days, so i thought brightening it up a bit for a change would be fun. and it was, i adore the way all the colors i have on look together. it may be a li’l premature, and i’m sure i’ve said it a couple times recently, but i am sooooo ready for spring to be here. and colors like this remind me exactly why, *nothing* says spring like some vibrant, happy yellow and it makes me even more excited for warmer days to get here!

so last night, bff vivi && i went a little zombie crazy and tackled a good portion of the zombie popcorn hunt. the list of participating stores is *massive* and *awesome*, but we didn’t get to everything. which is okay, because it’ll give us something to do for the rest of the weekend. \o/

anything zombie-related is usually pretty win with me. one of my favorite movies of all time is the night of the living dead remake from the 90’s, though the original directed by george a. romero from the late 60’s is pretty sweet, too. the 1990 remake *and* the original were both filmed not far from where i live in my first life 😉 aren’t you jealous?

and so vivienne && i are feeling the whole “they’re coming to get you, barbara..” vibe and are embracing our inner-zombie.

or.. at least i am. ;/ vivi just looks cute. but we’re both covered in *freebie* prizes from the hunt!

almost everything you see me wearing is a prize from the hunt! my hair (which actually comes in a two pack && includes a black version with blonde streaks) is the prize from exile. the cut is really cute and i like the sandy-blonde color, obviously.

vivienne is *also* dressed up almost entirely of hunt prizes. she went ginger for her look today simply because the hair, which is the prize from mina hair was so cute. the cut is adorable && the carrot color is very pretty, not too orange and not too red.

the dress she’s wearing is the prize from loulou&co with the other half of the prize from mv in the form of a second pair of bright leggings. the pair i blogged the other day are also included in the prize, you get *two* pairs of leggings!

her necklace is the hunt prize from frippery, the nails are from virtual insanity, her tattoo is by koqstar, the piercings are from ipoke && the pretty pair of purple eyes she has on are the prize from amacci.

killer heels

quickie post for today. because i’m tired && feeling lazy. and it’s hot. not a good combination.

my shoes today are from stiletto moody and are a *free* re-release of the previous red heels given out as a group gift. lucky for me, i wasn’t able to pick them up back then… but i got them today. they are SO worth the immense lag to pick them up, they are incredibly nice. pretty pedis included, too!

and i just gotta say, i love the tee i’m wearing from intrigue co. it’s so cute && totally formal, haha. it reminds me of one of those shirts with a bare chest and boobs of a woman printed on the front, y’know? for a split second, you think the person wearing it has their titties hangin’ out until you realize it’s a tee. and in the case of this shirt, a tuxedo instead of titties. not that i wouldn’t walk around with my actual titties hangin’ out…..

just sayin’. coughcough.

early post today O.O because i am feeling productive!

and high on caffeine!

which *might* explain why my two “guests” in my blog today are.. well… this:

now, i had this outfit all pulled together and nicely matched (kinda) and ready to be blogged reeeeeally early this morning. but then katharine mcginnis of intrigue co dropped a lovely notecard in on all us subscribers with info about a hunt prize.

so i had to include him. he’s adorable and i love him and i love intrigue for making such awesome stuff all the time~ <33

the rest of my look for today (like it *even* matters compared to gumby, haha) is comprised of a cute dress with the lovely visage of the late audrey hepburn on the front ❤ from poison, some fishnets (that totally look like a soccer ball pattern, or is it just me?) from immerschoen, and a corduroy big shirt that was *so* big it made my short self look eeeeven shorter. but it’s still awesome, i just had to make it a little less big, that’s all.

my sneakers are from duh and my inventory is slowly being engulfed by things from there. inexpensive *and* quality are hard to come by sometimes, but duh fits both rather well. i really like these shoes and have eyed a similar (more expensive) pair at different store before many, many times. but these sneakers were 50L(!!) for a *fatpack* of five colors and i was instantly sold. they feed the frugalista in me.

since i’ve been so productive today and it’s only… 8am, i think i am gonna take audrey, gumby and myself out to a nice breakfast. pancakes sound good..
