lazy

so! i’ve showed off my new bedroom already && today, i’m posing in part of my living room…

bff vivi and i have been putting a few last finishing touches on our new home.. y’know, the little details that make things look more “lived in”. and since our living room is so huge (ie, there’s enough room for a full living room set while *still* leaving half the room undecorated), she and i decided to put down a cute dining room set… even though we don’t have a kitchen. ;P only in sl!

and so my look for today is very appropriate for lounging around my house, something comfy but still cute.. while i rez and re-rez candles and books and paintings and picture frames and flower pots.

this cute cream-colored mesh top i’m wearing is *new* from sakide. there’s lots of new releases at sakide, all of which are awesome separates. ponchos(!), jeans, stockings, boots.. but these v-neck tees were probably my favorites out of the bunch. they are great for layering, which is something i *love* to do in autumn, but still season-appropriate enough on their own to totally work for fall. and i liked this khaki color for how versatile it is to work with!

i know it’s kiiinda hard to see, but check out my necklace! it’s *adorable* && is out @ collabor88 from intrigue co. little potted cactus plants, each dotted with small flowers.. how cute is that!? the set comes with a matching ring (that i *am* wearing here, even if i’m a derp and didn’t photograph it properly :/) and earrings, where each choice has different colored flower accents. so fun && so *cute*, i love accessories like these!

today was kind of a lazy day, i mean.. i didn’t even bother putting on shoes! but i still like this look for how real it is. i wouldn’t be moving furniture around in my rl in a skirt, heels and flowy top.. so i don’t do it in my sl, either~

fall

where, exactly, did september go? is it just me or did this entire month just fly on by? not that i’m complaining or anything, i mean… tomorrow is october 1st && all.. and only brings me closer to halloween (aka, my absolute favorite holiday of the year!), but seriously! september seemed to go by really, *really* fast!

so i’m embracing the incoming autumn today~

*discounted* autumn at that — almost everything i’m wearing clothing-wise is on sale or heavily discounted!

this two-tone sweater is from milk motion && is set out @ the mainstore for a tdr-esque discount. the cropped hem && realistic texturing made this a no-brainer, i grabbed it immediately. and i love it, especially for how well it works with a more layered look like i’m wearing here with a (freebie!) tank underneath from jane.

the mesh jeans i’m wearing here are from crash republic and i originally saw them on oh ohna‘s blog. they are fabulous — they fit my shape *perfectly* and come with both scrunched and rolled-up cuffs. they are currently discounted to a mere *95L* until tomorrow (october 1st) and are so worth picking up. there’s a nice selection of neutral and decidedly not neutral colors and i adore the shape of these~ the price + the fit on these make them an insta-fave in my inventory right now.

the boots.. these lovely boots from maitreya. they are a group-only discount from a little while ago but last i checked are still available for the smaller price… and given the fact that the group is *free* to join make them even more awesome. this soft, camel color is wonderful for more subdued autumn palettes and, as always with items from maitreya, the scrunchy shape and textures are reach-out-and-touch-it beautiful.

and, lastly, this gorgeous skin from pink fuel is out @ a steep discount for the rummage sale on the atomic island sim. ploom, aura, atomic, riddle, paper.doll… and of course, pink fuel, all have older items set out for some *very* nice prices for the next week and i could not say no to the set of elly skins offered there. a few are older event-only skins and one, i believe, was a hunt prize… but i somehow missed out on them the first time around so i was very happy to add them to my collection.

lots of awesome discounts out there on the grid these days! it makes both my inner shopaholic and my linden balance happy. embracing the chillier temps in second life is super easy when generous designers set out discounted goodies for sale~

back to normal

so! back to normal posts, hm? no more lingerie (at least for a while, i’m suffering from underwear overload, for realsies), no more valentine’s day… back to more *regular ole vixxie*. and i for one am pumped!

i even broke out the elf ears, for the first time in a loooooong ass time. a couple years ago, my avatar was *never* without pointy ears. i wore them constantly && i loved them.. but just like with a lot of fads (i guess it was a fad? i don’t even know. a “phase” in my slife, i suppose would be more accurate), my love for all things elfin faded after a while. i got out of the habit of wearing them all the time && slowly but surely, my avatar was more human than elvish. i still like the elf ears though, and for the right sorta look they just.. fit. i can’t bring myself to box ’em up, even if i don’t wear them often, and this pair i got *ages* ago from pera are probably my favorites out of all the pairs i own.

my skin today is from pink fuel, which should really be no surprise. pf’s elly skin has been my go-to skin ever since it was released. i *love* mochi milena‘s skins — elly, then ember before it — and i cannot even begin to express how insanely excited i am for the face i’m wearing now, alyx, to be released. around christmas, there was a *tease* skin set out as a hunt prize.. and this one i’m wearing here is currently just *99L* (~~but i’m not sure for how long!!~~ i *think* only ’til the 18th! so gooooo!) and i am in loooooove with it. the face is different than elly, but still as adorable as i’ve come to know from pink fuel, and i cannot wait for the skin to be fully released. i hope this li’l peek at the skin means the full release is coming soon, ’cause i am gonna *explode* without it.

oh, and before i go all *crazed* talking about a new pf skin… lemme just say that this gray collared shirt i’m wearing here is a *freebie!* from sakide. it’s part of the very generous gift for the jack or jill hunt, which runs until the end of the month. there’s another version of the same shirt i’ve got on here, but in red, included in the prize.. as well as jeans, *mesh* ankle boots, and a hat to complete a very gangster girl sorta look. and i am really, really likin’ these shirts. it’s a nice mix of sorta masculine tailoring, but low-cut enough to still keep it feminine. and the fact that it is freeeeee just makes it that much more awesome! there’s lotsa good stores on the hunt list as well, so you’ve still got time go to a-huntin’ if you’ve not participated in it yet!

and while you’re out hunting, seriously, go grabby this skin from pink fuel. you will *not* be disappointed. it’s gooorgeous… and with it, you can be bouncing-off-the-walls excited for alyx’s full release with me!! \o/

fifty linden fridays are coming to an end! ;__; it makes me so bummed, i *love* these weekly sales. i’ve gotten some amaaazing deals from flf && have discovered brands i otherwise might not have. it’s something i’ve always looked forward to, so i am def sad to see it go.

but at least… it went out with a bang, forreals.

there are more stores included in this week’s flf than i think i’ve ever seen && these 50L bargains are so, so awesome. hair, shoes, accessories, tattoos, poses, furniture, skins.. i don’t think there’s a category not covered in this sale. it is *so* worth checking out, if for no other reason than to give flf one last hurrah!

i’ve packed on a lot of the 50L goodies for this look.. to try && give you an idea of the variety goin’ on: the hair i’m wearing is from clawtooth, the boots i’m wearing are from fir & mna, the mesh purse from maitreya (and there’s a pair of their new alexa wedges in brown for 50L too!), the cardi from fri.day (you get *three* colors for the price!), the tank from whippet & buck that’s actually part of a *50L fatpack*, the tattoo from the habitat, && the eyes and armwarmers and smudged black eyeshadow are from the plastik (these items as well — there’s three color choices and each pack comes with shoes, boots, skins, makeups, dresses, eyes.. omgaaaaahhh! if you only get one thing from flf this last week, get *this* from plastik!!!).

this sim is stunning. and it made for an amazing place to take some *shadow-tastic* pics. which, i guess eases the pain of being unable to stand somewhere similarly beautiful irl.. if only slightly.

i desperately need a vacation. just a li’l break from the everyday, y’know? just vegetate somewhere pretty && let time pass me by for a while. some *vixxie* time, away from the computer (gasp!), away from irl stresses, away from everything. it’d be so nice.

someone that has a vacay comin’ up should totally pack me in their suitcase. :3 just sayin!

aaaaaanyway. onto more important things — my look for today!

*two* of the things i’m wearing are out for super bargain saturday, which i highly recommend grabbing before the day is over. one, my tattoo from para designs, which is a reworked version of a freebie from a li’l while ago. it comes fullbody this time, instead of just on the arms && chest like the freebie was, and there are two versions to pick from. and my tank, which is only half of the two-for-one from berries inc is super girly && in such a lovely color. the other tank included in your purchase is a nice neutral shade, but this one is pink (it’s marked as apricot, but it’s totally pink!) and i *love* the subtle design on the chest. and yeah, i like to be girly.. every once in a while~

and this skin — okay. last night, when i was discussing this skin with bff vivi, she told me something to the effect of… “yeah, that skin looks cute on you! ’cause you totally need a new skin…” she’s a sarcastic asshole sometimes ;p but i can’t help it! skins, i think, are probably my worst sl-vice. if i see a perdy face or a unique makeup, i’m *sold*. this skin, from atomic @ the dressing room about did me in. makes my tiny face so cuuuu~uuute! i loved it so much, i went && bought one of the the non-discounted versions at atomic, too.

it kinda makes me wanna wear less-tan && more-pale skintones. like the petal skintone from curio i wore the other day instead of my usual sundust. sometimes it fits a bit more with blonde hair to be a li’l sun-deprived, but we’ll see for how long i keep up with it. 😉
